NF Looking For Books On West Point

Hello all, I am looking for any books about West Point's role in the Civil War. Virtually all of the best and famous generals both Union and Confederate attended West Point. I know many Union and Confederate generals were good friends at West Point and many were in the same West Point classes together.

Are there any books that go into good detail about Civil War generals at West Point and what role West Point played in the Civil War?

The one that I thought of immediately was The Class of 1846 by John C. Waugh. It was copyrighted in 1994, so you may have already read it.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but I recommend West Pointers and the Civil War: The Old Army in War and Peace by Wayne Wei-siang Hsieh (who actually teaches at the US Naval Academy). The book explorers how the Army transformed after the War of 1812 and, more important, how "old army" methods profoundly shaped the conduct of the Civil War.

I agree on this one. With A Sword in One Hand and Jomini in the Other by Carol Reardon is another.
