Looking for a Book about Shiloh

I am looking for a single volume book on the Battle of Shiloh. Something that will be similar to Coddington's Gettysburg Campaign or Sear's Landscape Turned Red. Any suggestions?

Wiley Sword's Shiloh: Bloody April or James Lee McDonough's Shiloh-In Hell Before Night are two pretty good ones.

I'll second Wiley Sword's Shiloh: Bloody April. It fit the bill for me when I was looking for a good one-volume history of the battle.

You could add "Shiloh the Battle that changed the Civil War" by Larry Daniel.

If you want a "taste" of Timothy Smith while you're waiting for his book "The Untold Story of Shiloh" is a good read.....talks about the battle and the history of the battlefield.

I'd also recommend the Blue & Gray visitors guide as the account of the battle is written by Stacy Allen, the historian at Shiloh NMP, who in my opinion is second to none in his knowledge of the battle.
