I was visiting the Lodgewood Website today for a first time in a while, am I correct in seeing that they no longer offer the defarbing work as a service?

Specializing in black powder guns and what makes them work, as well as gunsmithing services. We are also a dealer for Pedersoli, Chiappa and Pietta firearms.
Talked to him on the phone recently regarding a 63 Springfield barrel repair. He informed me the 'defarb' days are over. FYI he did an excellent job on my original barrel. I would not hesitate to recommend his services! Lodgewood=excellent
Mr Stavlo is a superb smith. The defarb gig doesn't pay very well for the work and time involved. He's gotten a reputation for really good work on antique arms. There aren't a lot of those around anymore.
I have always had a lot of respect for Lodgewood. The level of honesty they have has cost them sales but created a level of loyalty that is admirable. I've never before been prepared to make a purchase and been advised that the rifle wasn't what I was looking for. Two of the ACW arms on my gun rack or in the museum are mine. I've sent many a people to them and never been disappointed.
