1st SC Volunteer Infantry

A superb CS unit out of Southern MN, Bill is a teacher by trade and does a superb job with the unit. Family friendly with a real look at the actual history of the 1st SC instead of some of the Lost Cause crappola put forward by other units.

Down here in Florida the website floridareenactorsonline.com lists all the units, US and CS, and their contact info and event schedule. I fall in with either the 8th Fla. Co. C or 28th Georgia Co. K depending on the event. All pretty much mainstream stuff. Wish there were some campaign style events down this way. During the summer I'm doing a couple events with the 12th Georgia based out of New England. I have family up that way. I know they are on Facebook but I'm not so I'm not sure of the address.

In the Phoenix, Arizona area there is the Arizona Civil War Council www.arizonacivilwarcouncilinc.com

Members of the ACWC participate as both Union and Confederate soldiers. The three units include:

- Company D, 1st U.S. Infantry Regiment

- 6th and 15th Texas Infantry

- Civilians Auxiliary Guild

In the Tucson and Southern Arizona region, we are forming two new units:

Company D, 39th North Carolina Infantry (CSA)

Company H, 8th Missouri Infantry (USA)
