A major reason that LRT has gotten out sized attention has a lot to do with Joshua Chamberlain and his post war writing.

Like Fredericksburg, the key to the Battle of Gettysburg was identifying, choosing and holding the high ground (Cemetery Ridge). Culp's Hill & LRT were incidental elements of the bigger picture, in my humble opinion.
