I know McClellan got his nickname in West Point, but he wasnt really a short guy, was he? I think I read he was about 5"8". Wasnt that about average? How tall was he in West Point that prompted this nickname? And did friends actually call him Little Mac to his face? It doesnt sound like a term of endearment.
