Hello. New to the civil war site and forum. Just a casual collector of some civil war weapons mainly swords and knives. I did recently purchase a revolver that apparently is from the civil war circa and need some expertise in identifying what I have. I was told it is a LeMat pistol and at the time of purchase didn't do much research. It appears to be from the era but the gun has only 6 bullets for the magazine and LeMat shows 9. I'm not sure if all the gun components are original or if it was pieced together. attached are pics which should help with some type of identification. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Welcome from the Fort Sumter and the Fredericksburg forums.

I'm not an expert on guns (or anything else for that matter), but I don't think that's a LeMat - at least not the type I'm familiar with. I want to say its an Adams or a Tranter but that's strictly a guess. The experts will be along shortly to ID it (and likely correct me lol)
