Lee/Jackson under threat

I may be wrong (and have been on more than one occassion) but I'm not aware of other nations where both sides of a civil war are represented by monuments and statues...but then again, America is a pretty unique kind of place.

My sister and her husband are displaced Yankees who live in Richmond, Virginia. They call Richmond's monuments; "The Second Place Trophy Case."

At any rate. The artwork is awesome and should be preserved.

HEY! Those are in my city! Charlottesville Represent! When I was young, I used to climb all over those things, because no one cared and it looked to me like a giant playground. The article doesn't mention that a few months ago, one of the monuments was vandalized with spray paint reading, "Occupy will rise again!"
