Lee Lee in his father's shadow

Did Lee write or speak much about his father's role in Independence at Philadelphia? Did he see himself as following in his father's footsteps, since his father introduced the idea of declaring independence?

Robert E Lee's father was Henry Lee III, "Light Horse Harry." Richard Henry Lee introduced the Virginia Resolution to Congress. Two different men. ("Here a Lee; there a Lee. Everywhere a Lee, a Lee" Sorry couldn't resist.)
