Laurel Brigade belt plate

Hello everyone, I bought this belt plate at a local goodwill. I was wondering if it is period correct ? It has the the 3 prongs on the back like other period correct plates do.

I never heard that the Laurel Brigade was distinquished by other than its patch. The casting looks suspiciously modern, like a reenactor fantasy piece from sometime in the last 40 years. I think it's kinda cool, but I wouldn't add it to your impression or use it as a downpayment for anything.
