One of my Twitter links is looking for information on a Confederate spy named John Purveyor; they have located his grave at Mound City National Cemetery. Does anyone have any data on him?

His brief CMSR at fold 3, says he was " taken as a spy at P

His brief record at fold 3 says, " taken at Paducah, Ky as a spy. " " died of chronic dysentery June 22, 1862. " roll dated, March 16, 1863.
 
I wonder if message was posted on Ancestry Message Board Paduach, Ky., if any information might come back. I post a lot on the Message boards and get lots of replies which can be very helpful.
