John Logan Statue in Chicago

Just got back from a visit to Chicago. Here are some photos of the statue to General John Logan located in Grant Park.

Surprising it hasn't been splashed with red paint, he supported laws banning all blacks, including freedmen from the state, or perhaps a plaque put up by it elaborating on his occupation being a prewar Douglas Democrat supporting banning all blacks
