I have been doing long term research on a well known military photographer who was a Sergt in Co H, 2nd Ohio Infantry. He was assigned to the engineer section Rosecrans army. I am in a continuing endeavor to find samples of his work.

As a dad on Issac H Bonsall had a shop in Cinncinati when the war started.

He was not a sergeant in the 2nd Ohio Infantry, he served the 2nd Ohio Militia Infantry, a 30-day unit. Two others of that surname, John and G.W., served that same group.
