hi gents i would to know if this is a boarding axe there is no name or markings on it anywhere thanks

It looks like an ice axe with the blade turned 90 degrees from normal. Not common but did exist.

It does look like a boarding ax.

Boarding axes were not carried in scabbards. It does fit in the early 20th century fire axes.

I've read accounts where the Cavalry in the frontier where issued steel tomahawks. It don't look that old but it definitely looks like a tomahawk

19th century fireman's axe that has been over cleaned. The scabbard is not original to it.

That is a modern repro of a, IIRC, Italian Warhammer of the Renaissance era made by Windlass out of India readily available through vendors such as Kult of Athena or Atlanta Cutlery. Very good at tenderizing people inside of armor. It has no relation to the ACW but is a reference to the occasional use of the "ban hammer" by the mod gods.
