Hi ,
I most recently came across a few buttons that I suspect are CW Buttons. It seems that they are Irish Brigade type buttons but I am not sure. I am new to this area and would like to opinions, thoughts as to the type and era of these buttons and it's authenticity. Thanks.

Nice find! The tin backs are telling me post war? I'm not familiar with the harp pattern I've seen them before but not sure there affiliation . I don't have my button book available to look up. But sure someone will chime in soon and provide more info! I am curious myself.

The Harp design has been used on buttons for 100's years and in many countries. As with any button the back-mark tells the tale, as @1867crete as stated they are indeed post CW.

We sure have people who know thier stuff on CWT. Would you think this are military in nature or civilian in nature?

The harp as been used on many Irish related organizations. Regiments, Bands, Fraternal etc. The Harp design has been used on Irish related items for many years. You have to remember that the only reason God created whiskey was to keep the Irish from ruling the world. BTW I'm 1/4 Irish. :D

LOL... Yes, you can rule the world. Very interesting about the Irish organizations.
