Am seeking any information on two Great Uncles, whose history of their service in the Civil War has become clouded. What myself, Bobby, and brother, Douglas Bazor have been searching for is; First, the burial places of Eli Bazor, of the Shubuta Rifles Volunteers. Was later captured and sent to Camp Douglas POW prison in Chicago, (8 Acres of Hell) When released (escaped?) he made his way to Clinton, Mississippi where he re-entered the CSA.

From that point we have lost all records of Eli Bazor. As for Nathan Bazor, we know almost nothing except he, Along with his brother/cousin? were captured at the same time, but from Camp Douglas POW camp, we know nothing of what happened. We do know that he survived his stay in that prison camp.

Any help would be greatly appreicated concerning Eli and Nathan Bazor CSA.

Thank you so very, very much for your response concerning Nathan Bazor. Now at least we know that he did, indeed survive the war, and as a POW. I think we also have found where he is buried, along with other members of his family. All this has come about since joining this Forum only this morning. I am asumming your name is Amelia. Have a sister by that name. At any rate, thank you.
