What is this? Information on Confederate Knives

Recently purchased these two knives and would like any information on them. They were purchased as reproductions and would like to know who made them and when if possible. Also an approximate value.

Somebody went to a whole lot of trouble to make these knives look "old."

The cargo of the blockade runner Modern Greece included cases of knives. The illustrations of the remarkably preserved items are an index of the types of knives that Civil War soldiers actually carried. After the first blush, giant Bowie knives became photographer's props. A good folding knife was far more useful than a klunky "fighting" knife. My absolute favorite knife, probably privately owned, is a pistol / pocket knife combination. My Cub Scout self commits the sin of lust wanting one of them.

The value on these is what the buyer will pay, they are obvious reproductions, in fact the CSA and CS almost remove them from that category and into fantasy pieces. These were most likely created to fool, coupled with the artificial aging...........

A reenactor might pay something for them........

I've seen knives like these sell north of 150 no problem. I'm curious where do you think they were actually crafted?

That is a nice-looking blade, repro or not. I have tried using a bowie knife while camping. It is too big for cooking and too small to cut wood. It is a pure fightin' iron. Thanks for taking the time to post a pic!

I think it would depend on the quality of the steel. The CSA guard looks kinda hokey. The D guard one looks descent. I again refer to the quality of the steel. I can't imagine paying more than $50.00 for one of those.
