Inflation and vice

Saloons, gambling and prostitution existed thru out the war. Both sides suffered from inflation ? did this inflation reduce these behaviors or did it have no affect on behavior. Are there records or private writings that shed light on this aspect of life.

I don't have the exact figures but both sides didn't equally suffer from inflation. If one side has soldiers with a recognized currency and the other has desperately poor woman trying to feed their children then there's your answer about vice.
