Another one from my dad's collection. The metal is in reasonably good condition, considering... The last useful years of its life were spent in New Mexico (where my dad picked it up while test-driving his and my mom's new RV about 20 years ago). I'll post pics of the complete gun later. First now, the lock will have to suffice:

Any markings to show it's issue? I can see it is a private purchase weapon (civilian made, not issued to OUR military). it should have Birmngham proofs in the barrel (crosses) and a 25 once or twice. Look along and above the butt plate tang and below the trigger guard on the stock.
