I've been googling "cheese fries Gettysburg" trying to find somewhere to stop tonight after we drop our kids off at Grandmas. How could I forget that I have the best people to recommend somewhere right here? So yes I'm a dork.

So there ya have it, craving cheese fries (with bacon and ranch dressing) and I'm gonna be in Gettysburg tonight between 7 & 8. Where's the best place to go?

Any help?

Being from the Deep South where such things are unknown, the most exotic thing that that I have eaten in Gettysburg is Italian Shaved Ice and recently a restaurant has opened near me that advertises something called "Fried Cheese Curds". Good luck on your search and Bon Appetit.

Hunts Battlefield Fries and Cafe located at 61 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, has great cheese fries and Im sure you could request bacon and ranch. Enjoy!

You made me laugh. Daughter's major was chem, like you and she calls herself ' dork ' all the time. Is that a science thing?

Of course @lelliott19 had the answer. She probably knows who owned it, serving cheese fries to soldiers at the time of the battle, too.
