Historical Markers

I wanted to see how many of us make a point to take photos of Historical (my kids say hysterical) Markers such as:

This one is here in Raleigh, NC. A number of us are interested in identifying the locations of the 1863 fortifications around Raleigh. This historical marker is decades old, and I believe that the remains mentioned here were destroyed to build apartments.

This marker is in the Confederate Cemetery in Okolaona, MS over 800 burials.

Visited Chambersburg several times but...I didn't take pictures...

We always go through it on the way to Gettysburg , but after 8 or 9 hours on the road we usually rush through Chambersburg . On one of our trips we backtracked to check Chambersburg out .

My husband always takes pictures of them.

I've always enjoyed reading all Historical Markers.

During my childhood, I had an Aunt and Uncle that would spend an hour at every Historical Marker they saw.

As a result, they were always late for many family gatherings.

It only took one Christmas and one Easter for the rest of the family to say , "don't wait on them, they're at a Historical Marker two miles down the road" .

I loved those two with all my heart, but that's how they operated.
