Help with Historic Marker 19th Illinois

Hello, some of you may remember a thread from 2019 about this specific event.

Currently I'm a part of a committee of sorts with the historical society in Martin County Indiana to obtain a marker and possibly a small monument for the train wreck that killed and wounded some 130 men from the 19th Illinois in 1861. Basically I need some eyes on these write ups to see if they hold up well enough to be put into print and on permanent display. ANY feedback is welcome as I am but a novice when it comes to writing. Please and thank you.

A large portion of this, after review from my committee members and the Martin County Historical Society will make it on the marker so I would appreciate as much feedback as possible. The images included in the doc are likely to be on the marker as well but in a better format. As of this comment I have 3 sections of maybe 5 total. The Wreck, Aftermath and a touching story about Captain Howard (thanks in large part to commenters on my original thread.) Probably a brief bio of the 19th leading up to the accident and afterwards with a photo of one of their reunions. Lastly on the whereabouts of the accident
