Does anyone know what these notations refer to? :help:

They are listed in records of courts martial of the ANV

Vio of AOW #50, #52. #83 and #99?

Assuming Vio means violation of? But what is AOW? and what do the numbers refer to?

Thanks for any assistance. :wavespin:

Ahhhhhhh. Very good. You are probably right. :wavespin:

Thanks for the quick reply.

I wonder what #50, #52 #83 and #99 were? Mustve been pretty bad ones to be in violation of? Some of the notes say "desertion" or "disobedience to orders" or "conduct to prejudice good order" but then others have these numbers. Maybe someone knows what the numbers are for.

I found them here https://archive.org/stream/articlesofwarfor00conf#page/11/mode/2up

Art. 50 Any officer or soldier who shall, without urgent necessity, or without the leave of his superior officer, quit his guard, platoon, or division, shall be punished, according to the nature of his offense, by the sentence of a court martial.
