Help identifying a bayonet

Never seen this type before for a lug with brass handle and push button release. European likely, or a ACW import?

Not Austrian or Brit & not a French model that I can think of. Might be one of the myriad civilian manufactured ones for arms like the M1817 that were privately done for the militia market.
 
Import, it looks rather like one for a Brunswick Rifle; but on closer examination, I believe that it is a Piedmont Model 1844 Artillery bayonet. These were made in Italy and used for over 50 years. I don't know if any of these weapons were imported during the Civil War.
