Haunted Perryville

Kentucky Life is one of our favorite shows on KET.. We have kept this station with coming to Florida. There are several shows we watch every week and Kentucky Life is one.
I wish I got this channel. Some of my ancestors lived in Kentucky. My great great grandfather, John L. Foster, fought for the Union with 15th Regiment Kentucky. I recently joined ancestry.com. I suspected I have a Yankee in the family tree and I do!

I think that was my favorite one too and it makes me think more of a time slip than a haunting.

They have a tremendous amount of programming involving local stuff. Not just the traditional PBS content. Just the other day I watched a special on the new bridges they constructed across the river.

Them PBS affiliates make some great tv programmes. There is a lot of good educational content made about the ACW. There is another great show I love by Mississippi Public Broadcasting called Mississippi roads it's really good. The presenter of that show Walt Grayson did a fantastic journey following Grants campaign to Vicksburg.

When I was in college, our local PBS affiliate was located just off of campus and they had many interns from campus. I may or may have not suggested to a few friends that they look into the WWII POW camp we had in town...a couple years later, guess what aired :)

That was my contribution by "viewers like you"

I found a short video on YouTube about ghost sightings by the townspeople.

Just sharing.....
So, last week I was at Perryville. We were the only visitors- so I chanced asking the park manager about the battlefield being possibly haunted.
He claimed that the site is "very" haunted. Mysterious sights and sounds. He went so far as to say he saw two full-bodied Federal apparitions at the site of Parson's Battery.
The place is garnering quite a reputation in central Kentucky- and there are occasional ghost walk tours.

If you spend much time at Perryville, you can see why it is reported to be haunted.

Welcome @Sheltowee !

I too have always been interested in these topics.
Such unexplained events are common across the planet.

Lord knows, I've seen my share of unexplainable things.
Was it ghosts ?

( I have clue)

Was it an animal or homeless vagrant ?

No.

Not at all.
