Has anybody used Accessible Archives?

Yeah, I have used them, but it was a handful of years ago, almost entirely for county histories. You made me go look at their content now and I would be hard-pressed to find they having added anything since I used them, but it appears they have raised their prices?

I didn't find them useful except to check off sources I researched and found nothing. (As you know but others might not, in genealogy it is important to track all sources checked, so you don't go back and cover ground you have already gone over.) However, I was looking for family history, not general history.

I don't remember how easy the site was, but that often means I had no problem with it. I do remember I had to contact the admin in email and they were quite responsive.

It is just my opinion, but their price is ridiculous. Look for a coupon?

Or a library or university that has a subscription. Unfortunately, neither my employer nor my village library do and as far as I can tell, my university library, where I still technically have borrowing privileges, doesn't either. It seems that a number of large state universities do, however.

They seem to have an option to get a certain number of pages free each month. I looked at my local, state, and the New York Public library websites - I have access to all of those. Sadly, none had access to this site. I'm going to keep digging!
