Yesterday Fall began. It is a wonderful time of year. There are so many foods connected with this time of year. One of my favorites is apples. An old time favorite is Sweet Baked Apples.
A recipe from my Granny:
Use good baking apples. Cut in half and core, but do not peel. Place in deep baking pan or dish. Pour some water around apples. Put on each apple 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of butter. Bake at 350 degrees until done and tender. Baste once in a while.
Enjoy the flavor and the smell of the baking apples.
