Digging into AGEOD's "Civil War II" game (with the "Bloody Roads South" expansion)... Although they have oodles of land commanders, including a few that only hobbyists have heard of, the naval commanders were clearly an afterthought. Farragut's represented, of course, along with Foote, Du Pont, Dahlgren, and Samuel Chase. Wait... who? No such person! (Well, there was a Samuel Chase in 1798-1800...) Were their resource materials so sparse on naval history that they had to resort to making up names?!?
Sheesh! At least include Stephen C. Rowan and S. Phillips Lee before you start making things up...
