Thought I'd share info about a new book I found on amazon -

Gettysburg - the armies of 1863 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DC9ZYKT/?tag=civilwartalkc-20

I got the electronic version and have ordered the print as its quite an outstanding representation in great detail about the armies at Gettysburg - check it out.

There are more OOB books than I realized. I have "Commanders and Casualties at the Battle of Gettysburg. The Comprehensive Order of Battle," by Steven Floyd. I wonder how this one is different.

Ah - that looks like an interesting book as well. This one I found represents all the commanders, regiments, cavalry and batteries/supply and ambulances with a miniature drawing of the troops - like a wargame image with accurate uniform and flag - looks really good and has variety of dress items throughout individual units - especially with the army of Northern Virginia. I was impressed and it looks like its part of a wider series - but the only one dealing with the civil war so far by the look of it.
