Good pistol kits

Any suggestions on where or where not to buy a small black-powder pistol kit, probably a derringer? Because I'm in the artillery I can't carry a regulation sidearm around, but a small derringer style pistol would be entertaining at small living history events.
 
I think a Colt Pocket Model .31 would be more appropriate myself. Many were privately purchased by men of all ranks and service, but seldom carried.

Yeah, especially is you pulled it out and laid it on the table while playing cards. :-) Dixie Gun works and Track of the Wolf would be good places to start your search. Good Luck!
