on sunday next week i'm flying to Virginia for summer break with my mom. Were going from Dulles to richmond stopping at appomattix and making a stop at the wright brothers NP in North Carolina before flying out of Va beach. I am an avid collecter of military antiques of which i have primarily world war two items but my passion is the civil war and i wish to acquire more civil war items. If anyone knows a good civil war antique store in the general vicinity of these places it would be much obliged. Thanks for the help.

If you get up to Gettysburg you will find several stores that specialize in selling military collectables. However, buyers beware, if you can't tell a genuine item from a fake then purchasing items increases risk.

Living close to Dulles, if have found that for general Antiques, Fredricksburg is hard to beat. I haven't looked for civil war military, but I have gotten plenty of tools and household items.

The Picket Post in Fredricksburg would be a good place to start.
