Going to Gettysburg tomorrow

I've been to Hauser winery, the one out in Biglerville. I do like their wine, though I'm not a real cider person. This would certainly keep me warm . . . And then it doesn't matter whether it has to do with the Civil War or not.

I'm thinking about going out to Gettysburg tomorrow. Anyone going to be out there? Is there anything anyone wants me to check out, take a picture of, or look into while I'm there?

Cash, anything interesting going on out there tomorrow?

Nothing that I know of. Troy Harman is giving a winter lecture on Saturday.

EJ, how is you and Emma's truck project coming along?
Hey Ken,
Hope your doing well. Thanks for asking about the project. We are at a stand still due to the cold. Body work is done and its ready to be sprayed. I am going to be doing the painting myself now (not my first rodeo). The final decision is British Racing Green, which very close to the Oliver tractor green she wanted. Have to move the truck from the wife's outbuilding to my shop and mine is not heated. So pray from temps in the 50s.

Pam,
Did you have fun today? Pics? It was cold but the sun felt good.

I had a great time! It was cold, but sunny, and not very windy, so if you could find a spot to sit, it was nice and warm. And guess who I saw as I was walking up to DD? Judi and Veryl! They drove by and stopped to talk until another car came along. I told them that if I could have expected to see anyone there on a cold February day, it would be them! They were out taking snow pictures.

I'll post pics when I get them downloaded.

A few more.

Sach's Bridge, Rock Creek is totally frozen! I wasn't brave enough to walk out on it, though--too bad, it would've been a neat perspective of the bridge.

Monument to Rush's Lancers, out on Emmitsburg Road past the far end of the park. They were part of Merritt's cavalry brigade. This often gets overlooked because it's off the beaten path, but it's one of my favorite monuments.

Very nice pictures, Pam. my first thought was, "good thing Lee didn't decide to go to Pennsylvania in the Winter, and then I thought about that and reminded myself why he went to Pennsylvania, and kicked myself. Hard!!!!

That's great. Yeah only the die hards are out in February. I love the pictures. The bridge looks awesome in winter.
