Going to Gettysburg next weekend...

I'm going to be in Gettysburg next weekend into the following week...anyone need any photos they'd like snapped or anything? I'm happy to share, just don't use them in a photo contest on the forums hahaha

Sure. Thanks for offering. If you happen to make it to the East Cavalry Field, could use a pic of the monument for Co. A, Purnell's Legion Cav., MD Volunteers. Recently learned of a great uncle who served in that company, but haven't gotten out there yet to visit the field.

I'm planning on going out there as, sadly, I've never been there before. I'll be taking plenty of pics, that is for sure. Co. A for Purnell's Legion. Got it!

By the way, the relative of mine from Co. A was Charles Poff. He was from Delta, PA (on the Maryland border) and appears to have joined in 1862 at the age of 15. Always interesting to know a little something about someone from the unit when visiting a monument.

Actually! I've been to Gettysburg several times but it will be my first time to the East Cav. Field I love Gettysburg, wish I lived closer!!

Gotcha. Well, I'm reasonably sure about the enlistment age. I'll need to get a copy of his pension/service records to confirm that my info is accurate. I put out a Fold 3 request in a separate thread to see if anyone can help. Let me know how the East Cav. Field looks please. I've never been there either.
