does anyone know of a list of cities where G&G will be opening?

Only thing I can find is that it will be a medium to wide release on February 21st 2003 (at least 1,000 theaters), I know the movie has already been run in NY and LA for one-week qualifiers and also on the battle anniversaries of Antietam and Fredricksburg at those locations earlier last year for one or two shows. Check your local theater previews, I know my theater will be showing it.
