Gettysburg yesterday 4/26

Yes, there were still a few dogwoods blooming, but many of them are past their peak by now.
Interesting to note the various growing regions...our dogwoods here are barely starting to open. They are just a bit late this year, as normally, by Kentucky Derby day (first Saturday in May), they are at their peak bloom time.

Thank you for the posts and pictures. I have fiends who are big in the Grey Hound Rescue operation. They attend an annual grey hound event in Gettysburg usually held at the end of April. Appropriately it is called GIG, Greyhounds in Gettysburg. Last year I managed to link up with them and in addition to the GIG events we were also able to do some battlefield walking. The view from Little Round Top looking west is nothing less than spectacular, especially, imo, in the spring.

Pam,
Just had to bump this thread!!! Spring is coming, but not fast enough. Your wonderful photos temporarily quench my need for a Gettysburg fix in spring. Hope others get a reprieve from the cabin fever by seeing these as well.
Thank you.

No problem--except that it really, really makes me want spring!
