Hello fellas, I'm looking for a piece (doesn't really matter what it is, but a lead on a uniform used in the movie would be killer) from the 1993 movie, "Gettysburg". That movie sparked my interest when I was a young kid, and ever since watching that movie, I've had a love for history. Without that movie, I don't think I'd be introduced to the experiences, people and places that I've had as an adult. Owning a little piece from what sparked my interest would be awesome. If anyone can help me track something interesting down, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

If you're looking for stuff that was used in the movie, your best bet would be talking to Erik Dorr of the Gettysburg Museum of History. I know he used to sell celebrity and movie memorabilia years ago. He has a lot of connections around town and in the industry. Even if you paid him a commission, he could probably find something for you. I know the guy who runs the Addressing Gettysburg podcast has bought props (the stone angel from the cemetery scene with Buford) from a local lady who worked on the movie.

Edit: Here is the scene I'm talking about. It's from the director's cut.

Absolutely love that podcast, glad to see someone else knows about it

I would imagine there's plenty out there if can find it.

I know after Ride with the Devil, area antique stores had props used in the movie for sale. I didn't get any as seemed just charged 2x for what it was worth :bounce:
