That does make you wonder huh? I have no idea how long DNA will last on a object outside. Especially if it was embedded in the ground, or maybe lodged in a tree.

Wonder if anyone here on this forum would know?

This is interesting to me, maybe not to anyone else. These two bullets have never been touched by a human hand since the guy who fired them 157 years ago.

Both bullets have good shape and integrity after such a long period.

Something I often wonder about the few bullets I have in my collection. I suspect most of them were dropped, or harmlessly went astray, but a few of them do show some damage.
