Ft Delaware

Hi everyone, hope everyone is well! I'm planning on a day trip down to Ft Delaware this coming weekend. It's pretty much in my back yard but I've never been there LOL. Can anyone suggest things I should be looking at while I'm there? I don't want to miss ANYTHING. I'm hoping to pick up a copy of "Unlikely Allies" while I'm there hopefully they have it! Any info would be appreciated!!! Thank You in advance!

If you get to the Jersey side of the river across from the fort you will find Finn's Point National Cemetery. It was the burial place of prisons and guards who died at Fort Delaware.

Have been there but had to take the Ferry to Finn's Point .... Well worth the effort to get there.

It's small enough that there really isn't any danger of "missing anything." Enjoy!

If you plan on using the nature trail you will want to bring bug repellent.

While your there at Finns point on the Western Side there is 14 German Wehrmacht Soldiers from WW2. It also is the home to a only Confederate Monument in NJ with the obelisk being 40 feet tall I believe.
