General Polk did baptize General Hardee. Actually he had baptized General Hood first and then a few nights later General Johnston and General Hardee. General Hood was witness to their baptisms. Many knew about the books he had for these generals. Polk was always so proud and glad that he was able to baptize these three men. He actually baptized many soldiers.
