Well it was forecast to be a ,overly day so I decided I would take I. As much of the sites I could related to the battle of Fredericksburg. The forecast high was mid to high 70s but in typical Virginia winter this year it got into the 80s and I even got a little sunburn/ windburn I believe. Will try to post pictures tonight my son has me taking him to a comic con tomorrow so I have my hands full.

Here we go. Long weekend and the weather was too nice to sit in front of a screen much. The walking tour at the visitor center it says will take about an hour. That was accurate. This is the view looking up to the sunken road and Marye's Heights from the parking lot

Looking down the sunken road at the start of the trail. Confederate forces would have been lined up facing to the right, the town is in the direction.
