What is this? The hole doesn't go completely through it and it is lead. Any ideas? Could it have been made from a bored soldier? Who knows but any ideas would be great. Thanks once again.

Could be a homemade nipple protector for a musket. If it is, the opposite side from the hole ought to have an imprint of the musket's hammer. Regardless, good find!
