From a trip I took to Savannah for my 40th. The land across the water was a rice field from which supposedly Sherman watched the bombardment and eventual takeover of the fort. It was stunning. Included also a picture of the repro winter housing (sorry about the angle - the interior pic came out fuzzy). Finally a repro of the headquarters.

The earthworks are still there but it was being worked on (preservation?) so I didn't get any good shots of them.

I think that is true except for the shelters under ground, they were original, with the original wood ceilings and floors and bunks.
 
Those are great photos! I never got a chance to visit the site when I was in Savannah, but I hope to on a future visit.
