Forrest Forrest Art

I actually don't have to many Civil War portraits period because you just can't really find them in Europe and when I do see them, I am on Vacation in the US. So I either have to buy a small one that I can fit in my suitcase or have the portrait shipped and I hate having stuff stiffed to Ireland from America.

You know, I ordered some obituaries one time from a Library in Savannah Georgia. Over a year past and I never had received them...I figured they decided not to send them to me in Ireland. Then suddenly one day they appeared in my mail. The US postal served had misdelivered the package twice to the Grand Caymen Islands.....TWICE!!!!!

But yeah, I have that portrait of Forrest, the one called "Lee and his Generals" that actually has Army of Tennessee Generals in it as well., and my favorite is a portrait of General Lee before the war in his Blue US Army Uniform. I use to have one of Stonewall Jackson as well but someone broke into my house one time. They stole a bunch of stuff, left all the pictures but the one of Stonewall Jackson. I guess they were a fan.

This was put up by YankeeHoorah, but I think I'll put it up in a little bigger size! It's one of my favorite battles - called Charge 'Em Both Ways by Ron Lesser:
