It seems like every museum has one or more foldable fork and spoons on display. This would make visitor believe almost every soldier carried one of these. They look interesting, but were they that common? At least to me. they look like something a soldier would want to purchase, but the novelty of using them might wear off quickly. To be honest a simple fork and spoon would be much more useful.

What about the old soldiers saying? "Who needs a knife, fork, and spoon? If you can't pick it up and eat it, you put it in a cup and drink it."
