Fixing tin photographs

I have two photographs on tin from my ancestors. They are like this: http://www.pattysporcelainetc.com/listing/189729606/celluloid-tin-easel-buttons-large

When my aunt was moving, she broke them. they have rips, but not over the pictures themselves, over the decoration around the photos. I'm trying to find out if anyone fixes photos like these or what I can do to repair or copy them somehow. I assume it might be like trying to fix a tin-type. Do any of you have any experience with this? Thanks!
