The 2019 CW battlefield travel itinerary started out great for me with a visit to Natural Bridge Battlefield State Historic Site and the St. Marks Lighthouse near Tallahassee,Florida on 2/2/2019:

More later. Just getting this thread started. Others feel free to post your 2019 battlefield first visits.

Although I have been to Port Hudson numerous times, this past April myself and a large group had access to parts of the battlefield on private property. This year the Friends Of Port Hudson was formed and on the Sunday after the (Saturday) Baton Rouge Civil War Round Table Symposium, the Port Hudson property owners granted access to their property as a $50/per person fundraiser for the Friends Of Port Hudson. We got to visit the Jackson Road Redan, the "Hospital Ravine" and the Devil's Elbow.

In March 2018,I visited Grand Gulf Military Park near Port Gibson,MS. Fort Cobun was closed due to Mississippi River flooding. It was open this October when a group of us from CivilWarTalk visited.

Also in October,I had the pleasure of visiting Fort Pemberton,Greenwood,Mississippi for the first time with member @DixieRifles as a guide. That was a real treat. One of the highlights of 2019 for sure.

That was my battlefield firsts for 2019. Hope some others at least post a list of their battlefield firsts for 2019.

All my Battlefield firsts for 2019 were in the month of October.

Very impressive! With the exception of Ft. Pickens, I have yet to visit any of the other sites noted. Looks like I still have a lot of ground to cover!

I did not visit any new battlefields in '19. I have been to Gettysburg hundreds of times in my life. Despite all those visits, I had never been to Neill Avenue. In November, I finally made it. I know this threads intent was to document battlefields one visited for the first time. But visiting Neill Avenue after all my treks to Gettysburg was a huge thrill to me.

Outstanding. Quite a fall campaign you had.

Nice. I started to mention some sites at Vicksburg NMP. I visited it in Febrauary 2017,but that was mostly a driving tour. Went there again this past October and got some boots on the ground in places I didn't see in 2017.

All my visits in 2019 were first-time visits. In June and July, I toured several of the major battlefields in Virginia, Maryland and of course Gettysburg. Since I took too many pictures for one post, here's a link to my report thread: https://civilwartalk.com/threads/touring-virginia-on-the-trails-of-anv-and-aotp.159236/

In October I again crossed the pond to visit New Orleans ...
