Well, NBF was so much MORE....it was just one of his many talents....and BTW...the horsey looking guy would have never been able to keep up with Nathan B.....looks more like a Union cavalryman to me.

Calvary that dismounted to fight from time to time. The important thing is that most of them were able to remount. Therein was the part of NBF that made him a legend, in more than just his own mind.

I apologize for the man/horse photo. It was in response to Scribe's "growth on Forrest's rear" post.

You intended it to honor Stuart and it sidetracked. I'm sorry for my part in it.

Sorry, KH....I was being nice for a long time but couldn't stand it....to me, both Stuart and Forrest should be wearing a cape and a shirt with a big "S" stenciled on the front....Stuart was my first interest in the Civil War, and Forrest has just carried that on. And poke away at Sheridan all you want....he richly deserves it.
