Today is James Ewell Brown Stuart's 177th birthday.

In honor of the occasion:

Today is my sister's 55th birthday and my husband's gg grandfather's, Ludwig Lips', 179th. I am glad he decided to immigrate to the USA or I would not have my dear hubby.

A triple red letter day, then! I've a cake baking now -- all are welcome to share a virtual piece.

I'll note here, Ms. Hale, that your delicious cake is already gone. As you didn't see fit to reserve any for the membership, I can only conclude that you better make another real fast because some are on the road to Dallas.

I think in honor of the greatest cavalryman ever foaled, I will make a cake and take it to OAP tomorrow...especially since we're using him for inspiration.

I guess NBF must not have been foaled. (just kidding) Have a great time!

A global happy birthday wish to our February babies!

Scribe, I love your description of NBF's backside growth!

(That aside, NBF rode a horse like cavalry did,
he used the horses to do his work like cavalry did, he just was not a member of cavalry, officially or unofficially.)

There.
