Eggnog

Found another recipe for Eggnog. This is Chocolate Spiced Eggnog.

1/3 cup grated baking chocolate
4 cups whole milk
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
6 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup heavy cream, whipped

Combine milk, sugar and cinnamon in saucepan. Bring to simmer. In separate bowl whisk egg yolks and 1/4 cup of hot milk. Return saucepan to heat. Whisk mixture constantly and pour in yolk mixture. Whisk more. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and vanilla to saucepan. Stir until melts and blends. Remove cinnamon sticks. Pour eggnog into mugs and top with whipped cream. Add grating of nutmeg and a tiny sprinkle of cayenne . Enjoy!

There is never enough eggnog for the holidays. This recipe is from "Old Time Recipes To Enjoy" "The Kentucky Explorer Magazine".

Egg Nog

"Six eggs, one pound of sugar, two pints of rich cream, and one pint of whiskey, and one half pint of Jamaican rum.

This is one that seems quite strong. It sure sounds like a Kentucky version of egg nog. This way egg nog spelling by this recipe.

Cheers!
