I am requesting help on a particularly difficult soldier I have only found dead ends on. His name was Edgard Calvin Ellington, born October 29, 1829 and he died September 4, 1862 (presumable in battle).

He was born in Walton County, Georgia, but so far no luck with finding him through publicized muster rolls.

Somebody erroneously stated (on Ancestry) that his place of death was in Warwickshire, England.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Duke

We did a lot of work on this man last year - I will link the thread below. Barring any new information that you have I'm not sure we can find something new using the resources we have online (which is how most of us do our research). I do think someone with access to local archives in Georgia might find new info, but sadly that isn't me.

Here is what we found last fall (it's a bit hard to follow) -
